BMW Z8

The BMW Z8 was a sports car that BMW made from the year 2000-2003. It was like nothing BMW has made before, and attempted to solidify BMW as one of the top sports car makers in the world. While the project was not as successful as everyone would have liked, the car is still quite a treat to look at!

The BMW Z8 was a two door convertible that came with a removable hard top. The BMW Z8 came with a 400hp V8, which was mounted in the front of the car. It was pretty fast for its time, going from 0-60mph in just under 5 seconds. That is not that fast for modern times, but back then, it was somewhat impressive. The top speed was 155 mph, but if the electronic limiter was taken off, it could reach speeds much higher than that.

Perhaps most people known about the BMW Z8 as a Bond car. A Z8 was driven by James Bond in the 1999 film “The World is Not Enough”. This was really the first glimpse that the general public got of this car, as it was not available until the 2000 model year.

You can still find a few BMW Z8’s around for sale if you look hard enough. If you have the money, they are a great car to drive around in, and can offer quite a thrilling experience. When you drive one down the road, there is a good chance peoples heads will turn!
